Getting A Snake Out Of A Hole
I saw a snake! Words that bring fear to the average person. But what do you do if you see one go into a hole or you see one half in a hole and half out and god forbid its right next to your home? You can go to the home improvement store and buy some expensive snake repellent and hope it works, or you can do the smart thing and pour about a cup of gasoline down the hole and get back. Snakes hate the smell of gasoline, and will not linger anywhere theres fumes from it. If you know theres a snake in a hole or even suspect a hole of harboring a snake just pour some gasoline in the hole and wait a few minutes and if theres one in the hole, it will come right out allowing you to capture or kill the nuisance. This is how its done in the South Georgia (USA) Rattlesnake round-up where Rattlesnakes by the dozens are caught and milked for use in anti-venom. So the next time you are out in the yard and you see a snake go down (or come out) of a chipmunk hole in the shrubbery, just run for the lawn-mower gas can and and pour some in the hole. Not only will you drive any living snake out of the hole, but you can rest easy knowing it won't be back. |
